Dear Colleagues,
Anniversaries certainly provide an opportunity to reflect. Reflecting on the talent displayed by Pacific Symposium speakers over the last 25 years, I asked myself, why do some practitioners get better results than others? Is it their needle technique, their formulas, their theoretical paradigm? Is it patient rapport, confidence, or intention? What makes some practitioners special?
As an educator, I’ve come to understand that talent is not an inherited trait, but rather something that can be systematically cultivated. In other words, special practitioners were not born that way. They created their talents after years of effective, methodical study and practice. They used their successes and failures as opportunities to learn what works and why. This year you will be able to share that wisdom to advance your own clinical efficacy by standing on the shoulders of 24 of our most talented faculty, along with some special guests.
To celebrate our 25th anniversary of Pacific Symposium, we challenged each of our speakers to present the theory, technique, or approach to a given condition that they know creates “Extraordinary Results.” Nothing ordinary is acceptable for our 25th anniversary. We want to hear our speakers’ “go to” techniques, their most time-tested approaches, their guaranteed results. But we’re not stopping there. In addition to delivering the facts, we want them to reveal their “expert’s mind.” I’ve asked them to think aloud for you, so you can peer into the thought processes and practice methods they used to develop their particular talent or skill.
In addition to creating our most ambitious educational event, we’re not forgetting that this is a celebration! So many of you have supported us over these last 25 years that we want to throw a party you’ll remember. Throughout the week, we will be presenting awards to members of the profession, as well as some of our regular attendees who deserve to be recognized. Thank you all for your support. We look forward to seeing you at Pacific Symposium 25!
