Biographies for 2010 Featured Speakers

 

Robert Nations, MSTOM, L.Ac.

Robert Nations, MSTOM, LAc. Robert Nations began his study of natural medicine in 1983 with healer and herbalist, the late, Warren Gold. In 1989, Robert received his massage certificate from Mueller College of Holistic Studies. He spent thirteen years at the Taoist Sanctuary of San Diego as a student and teacher under the guidance of Bill Helm HHP, BA, Grand Master Abraham Liu (Yang family taijiquan), Grand Master Chen Xiao Wang (Chen family taijiquan), Sifu Share K. Lew (Taoist priest), and Ted Kardash PhD. In 1995, Mr. Nations received the title of “Tao Shi” from the Taoist Sanctuary. In 2000, he traveled to Beijing, China to study Yin Fu Bague with the late Dr. Xie Peiqi and Andrew Nugent-Head. Later he received his Asian Body Therapist certificate in 2004 from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, specializing in Tui Na therapy and in 2009 graduated from their Master’s degree program in Traditional Oriental Medicine He also studied the Alexander Technique with Maria Carrera and Ari Gil collectively for twelve years. Mr. Nations currently teaches at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine classes in Tui Na therapy and Qi Gong. He also has been teaching Taijiquan at the YMCA since 1995 and for the California Department of Public Health and Aging and Independence Services of San Diego for their Matter of Balance Program in 2010. Robert has been maintaining his private practice as sole proprietor since 2004.

 

Robert Nations is teaching afternoon Self Healing Qi Gong Thursday through Sunday.
